Modelling of NORM
Working Group on modelling of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) releases and of the remediation benefits for sites contaminated by extractive industries
The group agreed that there is a great deal of information available regarding NORM, but not in a form that makes it immediately useful for the EMRAS programme. The first step, therefore, was to collect information and evaluate the available information in terms of the requirements of the programme. There were three types of information required, NORM industries, available data and existing models.
