The following manifestations are the driving forces currently in place to ensure that safety is properly taken into consideration by all job functions at all levels:

  • A Safety Authority that acknowledges the responsibilities of Nuclear Power Plant Operations and those of the sites,
  • Leaders who demonstrate their willingness to put safety first, and
  • A supervisory staff that places safety at the top of their list of priorities.
Together we will improve nuclear safety.

All staff members involved in nuclear power activities share the responsibilities, whatever their hierarchical position. All can fully express their motivation and sense of initiative by fostering creative attitudes, having all senses on alert, and demonstrating prudence and rigour.

Managers and staff members make respective contributions to achieving safety in the day-to-day operation of the units through their duties and actions. Some duties are shared by all. For instance training to acquire necessary skills and experience feedback, the driving force of progress, are duties shared by everyone on a daily basis.
