Gamma radiation
Gamma radiation is electromagnetic radiation composed of photons,
which are small packets of energy with no mass and are of the same nature as X-rays,
light, or radio waves.
All these types of radiation have different wavelengths:
 |
TV and radio waves: measured in
kilometres |
 |
Visible light: measured in
micrometres |
 |
Gamma radiation and X-rays:
measured in angstroms. |
