The principal objective of this workshop material on Research Reactor Ageing and Self-Assessment Methodologies is to facilitate future organization and conduction of similar workshops.
The content is based on the material prepared for the “Workshop on Research Reactor Ageing and Self-Assessment Methodologies” organized in Beijing, China in December 2001 under the Extrabudgetary Programme on the Safety of Nuclear Installations in the South East Asia, Pacific and Far East Countries. It contains lectures prepared by IAEA staff as well as contributions from two external experts: Mr. Kim, Yong-soo of the Hanyang University Nuclear Engineering Department, Seoul, Korea; and Mr Adalberto José Soares from the Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares, IPEN-CNEN/SP, Brazil.
