Emergency Preparedness and Response for Research Reactors
This training package contains a manual on course organization, PowerPoint presentations with associated text and a practical exercise manual concerning an emergency at a research reactor facility, and is based on a course held in Daejon, Korea. The main aims of the workshop are to provide the participants with the knowledge and tools to be able:
- To develop and implement an action plan to establish the capability to respond to emergencies at their research reactors, and
- To develop plans and procedures to respond in case of emergencies at research reactors.
Upon completion of the workshop participating countries will commit to develop and implement an action plan to establish the capability to respond to emergencies at their research reactors consistent with IAEA guidance.
