SADRWMS Meetings and Notifications
The Agency will make arrangements for the following SADRWMS meetings:
Calculation Working Group
Scope - To consider and further develop the use of Ecolego Player, that can be used without having a licence for Ecolego. Player will be used to run the SAFRAN models. At the moment, Facilia is working on interfacing this player with SAFRAN. Player can perform probabilistic analysis of uncertainties and sensitivity analyses can also be performed. To prepare a series of simple dosimetric models which will allow going from radionuclide inventories in containers to dose rates at different distances. At the moment SAFRAN one can only calculate fixed geometries.
Meeting date and venue
The tentative date of the meeting is 21 – 25 October at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna. Other locations can be considered if one of the participating organizations offers to host the meeting and the costs would be more favourable to participants. Participation in the meeting will in general be cost free to the IAEA; it may be possible to provide sponsorship for a limited number of participants from developing countries.
Questionnaire Working Group
Scope - To improve the proposed questionaire (eliminate repetition and refine questions; ensure full incorporation in SAFRAN tool, and check ability to create a report on the answers provided from the questions; test the questionaire report); to update the entire regulatory review section including the development of new set of questions; and t finalize the report.
Meeting date and venue
The tentive date of the meeting is 17 – 21 November at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna. Other locations can be considered if one of the participating organizations offers to host the meeting and the costs would be more favourable to participants. The meeting will be organized as cost-free Agency events. However, limited funding is available to cover travel expenses for a smaller group of participants.
