In order to comply with its statutory function of providing for the application of standards, the Agency has to ensure that advice and support provided to its Member States is technically consistent and harmonized in its approach. This is achieved through, inter-alia, performing integrated safety evaluations together with Member States by analysing relevant information, implementating integrated safety strategies and ongoing assistance in education and training in the areas of Nuclear, Radiation, Transport and Waste Safety.
