Russian Waste Silos
Description
The facility contains radioactive solid and liquid wastes in a decayed state which have resulted from nuclear activities at the Al-Tuwaitha site since 1968. It includes all radioactive waste resulting from upgrading the IRT 2000 reactor to IRT 5000. The total amount of solid radioactive waste is estimated to be around 100 tons.
