Russian Radioisotope Production

Isotope Production No 1

This is one of the several buildings of the Russian Complex. It started operation in 1968 to produce radioisotopes for medical purposes. It contained a number of concrete hot-cells, glove-boxes and fume-hoods. Solid radioactive wastes in this building are estimated to be around 30 tons and liquid wastes to be about 35 m³.
