International Conference on Topical Issues in Nuclear, Radiation and Radioactive Waste Safety

The objectives of this Conference were to share information and experience amongst experts from the three closely related but subtely different fields and to seek common themes for future work. The Sessions covered:

  • Upgrading and Modernization of Nuclear Power Plants
  • Situations of Chronic Exposure to Residual Radioactive Materials
  • Decommissioning and Rehabilitation and Reclamation of Land
  • Radiation Safety in the Far Future
  • The Issue of Long-Term Waste Disposal
  • Regulatory Strategies

In addition a panel discussion on "Communicating Nuclear, Radiation, and Radioactive Waste Safety Information" was held.
