11th International Congress of The International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA), Madrid, Spain on May 23-28 2004
During the IRPA 11 Congress, 23-28 May 2004 in Madrid, Mr. Abel J. González, Director of the Division of Radiation, Transport and Waste Safety, was presented the Sievert Award, which honours the memory of Professor Rolf M. Sievert and is the most prestigious award in the field of radiation protection. It is tradition at IRPA Congresses, held every four years, that the Sievert Award recipient also gives the Sievert lecture. Mr. González presented the Sievert lecture(16MB) at IRPA 11 to an audience of approximately 1,500 radiation protection professionals from 82 countries. more
